In 1970, George ‘Bebis’ Kandylaris decided to build a small
tavern,
in order to serve his friends and the few travellers, offering an
area for rest and refreshment. Over the years,
the tavern started offering to its customers the most valuable
product of the Koutsoupia area, which is fresh fish and seafood.
After the regional road was constructed, and the area got connected
to the electric grid in the ’80s,
a larger public was given the chance to get to know this area, with
its wild beauty and amazing beaches.
The tavern “grew”, always offering its customers fresh fish and
seafood from the clear blue sea.
The descendants of “Bebis” renovated and created this tavern,
honouring him and continuing the tradition of offering the freshest
and tastiest bounty of the sea of Koutsoupia, keeping to the same
pure recipe.
